The Wierzyca is a river that flows out of the central part of the Kashubian Lake District and ends its course flowing into the Vistula at Gniew. Its upper course leads through the Kashubian region, while the middle and lower course runs through the picturesque Kociewie region. On the route, there are several portages at historic hydroelectric power stations, the viewing of which is an additional attraction of rafting. It is worth stopping for a while to see how, in Owidz, Kolincz, Stockie Młyn or Czarnocińskie Piece, electricity has been produced from the energy stored in the river's waters for over a hundred years.
